About Us
Hello, I’m Dave! We are Canadians living in Panama. My wife, Elizabeth, is Panamanian but we’ve spent most of our lives abroad. As we got older, we decided that living in Panama would be the best thing for us and the family come retirement. It’s a bit too cold up north for us older folk!
When we arrived here, we decided to explore Santiago de Veraguas since that’s where my wife is originally from. During our travels throughout the province we discovered a little paradise in Lago Bay. We knew that was the place we wanted to build our dream home.
The location is perfect, with many nice beaches around, diving, surfing etc. It’s also a rapidly growing area with lots of development going on so we wanted to get in there early while we had the chance!
The plan was to retire several months ago around when we completed the house. But as life would have it, that’s still a while away and it’s a bit too much house for just one person (my wife) to take care of as my work required me to be away at times.
